Address: 29 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, W1D 7ES
Directions: Take the Bakerloo or Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus and exit onto Shaftesbury Avenue. The theatre is a 5 minute walk
"Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome, in cabaret, au cabaret, to cabaret!" This multi award-winning production of Kander and Ebb's landmark show CABARET turns Weimar Berlin of 1931 into a dark and sexually charged haven of decadence: its extraordinary and morally ambiguous inhabitants determined to keep up appearances as the real world prepares for the nightmarish chaos of war.
And at its heart is the legendary Sally Bowles who performs nightly at the infamous Kit Kat Klub in 'a shimmering masterpiece of a show guaranteed night after night! It's divine decadence darling!'
Cabaret, with book by Joe Matseroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, was based on John van Druten's play I am a Camera which in turn took its inspiration from Christopher Isherwood's Berlin stories. The multi award-winning musical was conceived in 1966, later becoming the 1972 film with Liza Minnelli, Michael York and Joel Grey - the film was to win 8 Academy Awards. Cabaret was the second of Kander and Ebb's musical collaborations. Their other work together includes Chicago, Flora, The Red Menace, The Act, The Rink, Steel Pier and Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Amy Nutall plays the role of Sally.
Alistair McGowan plays Emcee.
Please note: This production of Cabaret is recommended as suitable for over 12s, subject to parental/teacher guidance, as the subject matter deals with adult themes and the staging includes some brief moments of nudity.

Monty Python's Spamalot is 100% pure entertainment. Lovingly ripped off from the hit movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail by original Python Eric Idle, and directed by Oscar-winning director Mike Nichols, this musical comedy is filled full of big laughs, great songs, dazzling choreography, historical inaccuracy and special effects you just won't believe could be performed in a top West End theatre today!
Spamalot retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table with the help of a number of gratuitously scantily clad showgirls, cows, killer rabbits, French people and a legless knight.
Alan Dale stars as King Arthur. From Jim Robinson in Neighbours to media mogul Bradford Meade in the smash hit Ugly Betty and from tycoon Caleb Nichol in cult series the O.C. to Vice President Jim Prescott in the award winning phenomenon 24, Alan Dale is without doubt one of the most familiar faces on TV today. He joins Nina Soderquist, who won Swedish reality TV show West End Star, achieving a massive 59% of the public votes in the final, as the Lady of the Lake.
